Meet Malalai
Malalai is our cook. She has cooked halal food for her family her whole life.
She makes every ZMA meal herself, with lots of love. Here is why you can trust her food.
30 Years of Cooking
She has cooked for her family every day for 30 years. She has made these meals many, many times.
Halal Is How She Lives
Malalai has always eaten halal and cooked halal. She cooks your food the same way she cooks for her own family.
Family Recipes
She learned these recipes from her own mom. Rich curries, soft slow-cooked meat and tasty rice. Made like home, not like a restaurant.
She Buys the Meat Herself
All the meat is 100% zabiha halal. She buys it in person from Ugarit Market and Halal Butcher on Wellington Ave in Windsor.
She Cooks Every Meal Herself
She tastes everything before it goes out. If it is not good enough for her family, it does not go in your box.
Halal Food From Our Family Table
ZMA started at our family dinner table. Every meal is one Malalai has made for her family for 30 years. Now she makes it for your family too.
For us, halal is not just a rule. It is how we have always eaten. You get the same food we eat at home, and all of it is 100% zabiha halal.
100% Zabiha Halal
All the meat in every box is zabiha halal. We buy it from one shop we know and trust: Ugarit Market and Halal Butcher, at 673 Wellington Ave, Windsor, ON N9A 5J5.
Our whole kitchen is halal. No pork. No alcohol. No shared tools. You never have to ask.
Made With Love
We cook a little at a time and take our time with every step. Nothing is frozen. Nothing sits in a warmer. It takes longer, and you can taste the difference.
Fresh Homemade Naan, Just Like Mom's
Soft, fresh naan made by hand using Malalai's family recipe. Perfect for scooping up every last bite of your favourite curry, so your meal feels just like home.
Homestyle Portions
These are big meals. Each box holds 24 oz of curry or rice, with lots of meat. One box is a full dinner.
Lots to Choose From
Pick from more than 10 meals. Some have meat and some do not. Everyone at home can find something they like.
Just Heat and Eat
Every meal comes in a box you can put in the microwave. Heat it for 2 to 3 minutes and dinner is ready. No cooking. No dishes.

Overall rating: 4.8 / 5 from 42 reviews.
ZMA food's meal service is easily the best among different meal services that we have tried. Discount offers are available, taste is fantastic without too much spice or salt, and the presentation is fantastic. The food is fantastic to see and even better to eat. Veg or non-veg (and the rotis) one should try it. The containers keep it fresh for days after delivery. ZMA food's is always available on phone in case of query. Easy to place order. A well-rounded package. Thank you, ZMA food's meal service.
Delivery was on time and food was delicious! The variety from week to week keeps ordering from ZMA food’s meal service fresh. Highly recommended!
Loved the food and the packaging! It has been 4 weeks since I subscribed and I get super excited for my delivery each time. Everything is delicious, with minimal oil and the right flavour. Just like home food!
10/10 service! 10/10 delivery! And of course 10/10 food, absolutely delicious!! Would definitely recommend!
Ordered from ZMA foods meal service for the first time and I was so impressed! Portion sizes and taste are better than competitors I tried like HouseCook and Halalmeals.ca. Each container was enough for two servings each! The curries were spicy and flavourful! I love that it came with rice and roti. My toddler loved the chicken palaou and the white rice. I will be recommending to all my friends and family and will order again.
This is a truly wonderful service. I knew I was going to be a long time subscriber after trying it just once. There’s always various delicious dishes on the menu so there’s never a worry about what to eat or how to cook it. The best part is even 4 days after arrival the food stays fresh and tasty in the fridge. It really loses no noticeable flavour whatsoever. I think the reason for that is the quality packaging that each delivery comes in. I seriously just do this instead of groceries and cooking and I recommend it to everyone.
It's been a month of purchasing the subscription and i can say it's really worth it. The food is delicious. I mean i get the feel of that home cooked food. Overall everything is perfect!! Keep it up team ZMA food 👍🏻
Please tell me the last time you were able to buy a meal for under 15 dollars!!! especially afghan meals. I love that I can enjoy the true taste of home at such an affordable price.

Thank you for the wonderful food service provided to my elderly parents.! They required a reduced salt diet. My requests were met with speed, accuracy and professionalism. Delivery was painless. The food quality was very tasty and large in quantity. Will definitely be ordering from ZMA food’s in the future!
I had been ordering ZMA food's meal service's services for my father in law and was quiet pleased and happy that he really enjoyed as I had asked them to be extremely mild to his taste. He enjoyed the Rotis and all the meals. So once again thank you so much for accommodating to his taste. Really appreciate it!!!
Best afghan Dishes that I have ever had in Canada! Closest thing to authentic home style afghan cuisine.

The portion they deliver is shockingly a lot for me. I have tried different halal meal services in toronto and this is by far the best i have had. The taste of the biryani and achari chicken is wonderful.!
We’re a family of four and ZMA food’s has made weeknight dinners so much easier. The kids love the butter chicken, and my husband is obsessed with the biryani.
